Celle-là m’a été demandée par Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, artiste de génie, pour le catalogue de son exposition à la Tate de Londres. Le texte intégral est en ligne en français.
The Moon, 2058
The shadow was immense, awe-inspiring and eternal. Standing at the prow of the Tate Moon Gallery, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster watched the Earth setting over the Sea of Tranquillity.
“Is everything to your satisfaction, madam ?”
Dominique turned to Theatin, the exhibition’s youthful director. “I don’t know, young man,” she replied. “I haven’t started my visit yet.”
Theatin’s cute features crumpled. “You recall, madam, we open in ten hours ?”
“Don’t fret so, young man. I’m sure that thanks to you everything is more than ready.”
But Theatin remained crestfallen.
People are too serious till they get to be ninety, thought Dominique.
